I racked from the primary about 10 days ago, and I'm quite surprised at how dark it is (looks like apple juice). I will be racking once more next week, but is a deep golden color for this kit normal?

What yeast strain? I find whites frighteningly dark while they are fermenting, but they (usually) turn out perfectly clear.

I used R-HST. I did have issue with temperature for a day but got it cooled down with a swamp cooler. It's perfectly clear now, though.

Put a little in a glass and look at it. In the carboy, it will look darker due to the bulk.
I'll do that tomorrow when I rack! :)

Just put a little for a taste test, and it is much lighter than I expected. Pretty much only flavor right now is lemon zest, but has a really smooth finish. I'll be racking next weekend to separate from the lees and let it go for two more months! :)
