A Priest and a Rabbi were seated together on an airliner. After a short time, the Priest turned to the Rabbi and asked if his religion still prohibited eating pork products. The Rabbi said that it did, so the Priest said, "Tell me, Rabbi, have you ever had pork?"
The Rabbi thought for a moment and then said, "I have to say that I did have a ham sandwich once."
A little while later the Rabbi said to the Priest, "Does your religion still require you to be celibate, Father?" The Priest said that it did, so the Rabbi said, "Tell me Father, have you ever strayed from that requirement?"
The Priest thought for a moment and then said, "I have to confess that once I succumbed to the pleasures of the flesh."
They sat in silence for a while and then the Rabbi nudged the Priest and said, "Sure beats the hell out of a ham sandwich!"
The Rabbi thought for a moment and then said, "I have to say that I did have a ham sandwich once."
