My niece (who lives in Florida) just had a baby girl.
To mark the occasion, she opened a bottle of 1970 port. This was a wedding present from a very close friend.
Once the bottle was finished, she wanted to know what she should do with the empty bottle. It would be a shame to just throw it away.
I came up with this. I got it over the internet for $40. It is made of walnut and has a mirror backing so that you can see the rear label. Mounted on their wall, the port will continue to be a reminder of great life events..
