I have one of the floating thermometers, am I suppose to check the temp of the primary every day? I usually record all of my sg's and temps on the stick on thermometer on my carboys.

Besides testing to make sure your starting temperature is in range there is really no need to check the temp of the must in the primary or secondary if your room temperature is correct.The acceptable range is 65-75 F but optimal temp if 70-75 F. Edited by: masta
