Finally .. I have a local store in Jackson MS. Those last minute items just got a lot easier to find. I will be checking them out tomorrow.

That's great news. No such luck here. I hate having to place an order and pay shipping equal to item cost.

And don't forget one of our site sponsors. Brew and wine supply. Doug is a great guy to talk to if you have any questions. I believe most small stuff can ship for under a few dollars. Kits are $9. Give him a try.

I feel your pain Bob. That's the same boat I've been in.

Good deal, Loner. I was happy to learn that I had an LHBS; just one mile off my daily commute. They are a tad more expensive and I still order lots of stuff online, but it is comforting to know there is somewhere I can go for last minute items...like the weekend I broke my hydro. :(

I've used Doug quite a bit - he's my go-to these days, although it's been a while. The best approach for me has been to make sure I'm fully stocked on everything at all times. That's the way I've avoided Fedex overnight charges for a pack of yeast :)
