Hi guys,

I know there has been many a topic about what book can I get to help me make wine. Well this is another one of those topics but slightly different. I love to read about making wine, the more I can read the better. However I feel I am past the stage where I need every book to explain how to read a hydrometer and how to rack. Its not like I havent read them, in fact I have 4 sitting right next to me: The Art of Winemaking by Stanley F. Anderson with Raymond Hull, The Home Winemakers Handbook by Phillip Ward, The Joy of Home Winemaking by Terry Garey, and The World Atlas of Wine by Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson.I have also read From Vines to Wines by Jeff Cox.

I was looking for a book that deals with more advanded home winemaking techinques like the uses and meanings of proper TA, pH, and other things like that. Maybe blending even. Are there books out there that go more in depth and dont focus on the first time wine maker?

Thanks,

Scuba

If you want a veryindepth book on wine making, I have one called Wine Science- Principles, Practice and Perception by Ron S. Jackson. This book goes into minute detail on all aspects of making wine. It isn't for the faint of heart and isn't cheap, but it certainly goes into great details. It is almost 700 pages of wine making knowledge. I would suspect it has been used as a textbook. I got my copy from Amazon.

My favorite advanced home winemaking book is Techniques in Home Winemaking, by Daniel Pambianchi.
