When racking out of secondary fermentation carboy, you guys say you use
a 5 gallon carboy and then a three liter jug for example. i
understand, however, when the directions then say to add k-meta and
clarifiers, etc....degassing, how do you do this in two different
vessels for the same wine?
 
You can either divide it up to suit each vessel or add it all back into a primary bucket and add all the stuff and then rack it back to carboys.
