I finaly beat the Amish and the birds. I have been watching a patch of wild grapes for 3 weeks now. Grandson and I picked 7gallons,came home and destemed them and put in the freezer. We had a little over 10 lbs. Will be making a 1 gallon batch in a week or two. Should have about 250 lbs of concords when they ripen. Some elderberries are ripe now the rest will be ready in about 2 weeks.

Good for you Ron. That is quite an accomplishment to beat out both of those groups! You might try blending the gallon of the wild with the Concord. It would probably add to the Concord quite well. Hope you get some more.

I hear you there as Im also watching some wild grapes and the town came in and wiped out 1 bunch as it was starting to grow over the fence and out to the road too much but wasnt ready for picking yet!
