how to make wine clear

:confused:Hi all. Have a batch of wine that has completely fermented. Added Sparkolloid but the wine still won't clear after 3 rackings. Could the addition of crushed grapes added to the original mixture have done something to the wine that prevents if from clearing? Should I try a differrent substance to clarify the wine? Is it safe to drink. Smells ok. Very dry.

How long did you wait between each racking. It isn't the racking that clears the wine, it just takes the clear wine off of the sediment. I have never tried to use any clearing agent I just let mine clear on there own. Sometimes it takes quite some time to clear. I have a batch of apple that was finished fermenting about three weeks ago that still isn't clear.
