I just racked my wine for the second time and tasted it. I noticed that it has inquired a "fizz" or a "sparkle" to the body but tastes good...Is this normal? Will it go away? what happened or what doI need to do to correct it?..

This is my first go at wine making and I used a Sun Cal concentrate (reisling). Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated..

Hi Micheal, and welcome. Constant stirring will help aid in removing any gas you have in there. I'm not familiar with sun cal concentrate, does it make a 5, 6 gallons, or just 1 gallon. If you have a 1 gallon batch, just put your hand over the top of the jug and shae it up, releasing the pressure from time to time. My wife and I are partial to te Reislings, would be interested in earing about the Sun Cal Brands.

This will help with those bigger carboys:

Thank you for the warm welcome and words of advice jobe05...It is a relief to hear that there may be a solution to my situation.
The Sun Cal kit makes for a 5 gallon batch of must. It was a gift for Christmas and believe that it was purchased on E.C. Kraus.com.

Thank you again my friend....

My brother-in law received Sun-Cal Cab kit but has not started it yet.
What you are experiencing is gas that is stuck in suspension at this
moment. Before clearing if you are going to use a clarifier like
chitosan or the two part SuperKleer, you will have to degas it it for
the clarifier to work properly. you can use a drill mounted mix stir or
just stir the heck out of it manually with a big spoon.
