Started this one this morning. This will give me the Malbec and Brunello fermenting. The Primitivo is bulk againg and the Syrah is here on deck. Here are the pics. They arent great since they are off my iPhone and that thing does not take the best of pictures.

SG was 1.095. Will stir it once a day and will leave it in the primary for 14 days to get all I can out of the skins.
 
I sure do love a malbec. I had the best one yet at PF Changs about 3 evenings ago. Didn't get the brand name, though.

When George gets them in, in June, I'll be about first in line to start a Cellar Craft Showcase Argentinian Malbec.

These 12L kits with the skins are great early drinkers! I add 2oz of oak cubes for a month. Gave a bottle of this malbec (5 1/2 monhs old) to a friend last week. He and his wife gave it high praise. Enjoy!
