I grow my own ginger and am ready to begin my first 5 gal batch. Anyone have experience with a nice recipe? How to's or do not's?
 
Oh that sounds amazing! If you find a good recipe, make sure to post it up!
 
I don't know anything about a Ginger wine but I recently brewed a light ale and added 6 oz. fresh shredded ginger to the boil. Wow, I think this may be one of my favorites!
 
Can you add some ginger flowers to it? We like ginger wine and put as much as you like in it, we add enough to make it hot with spice and use it in cooking or as a substitute for gingerale in punches. If you freeze it then chop and boil you can easily get the juice out. A simple white wine yeast will do fine. Where are you located? WVMJ
