Yesterday I went by my LHBS and picked up a true brew kit, an Irish Stout. Took about 2 hours to do it, but it was fairly easy. I got the Irish Ale slap pack yeast to use instead of the included Munton's packet. I can see where this can be every bit as addicting as wine making. Great, now I've got two obsessions.....

Three obsessions if you include growing your grapes!

If you're not carefull, you'll find yourself turning your igloo cooler into a mash tun, buying a turkey frier for full wort boils, and figuring out how to build a heat exchangedrecirculating mash system and a whirlpool chiller using a real cheapebay'd march pump that may or may not work right.

Oh wait, that's me!

Welcome to the obsession!
