Has anyone made this kit? It sounds like it would be very good. Any comments on it would be appreciated as I am considering making it. I live about 3 hours from there so it would be nice to make a wine from our area.

I have not... but I went to the Spring Barrel Wine Event held in April in Yakima Valley and it was THE BEST event ever. I learned so much about the process, differences between oaks, racking time, and the general process.

For those not from the PNW - the Yakima Valley here in Washington State contains three different appellations and is a premier wine growing region. There are many wineries and they were all extremely friendly, liberal with their sample

, and a great area with many building new tasting centers.

Good luck with your decision.

I haven't made that one but will say that every Estate Series kit I have made were fantastic. Just give them the proper time to age and you will have a mighty fine wine.
