Following this thread for advise, ive made lots of green apple wine but never crab apple but i just happen to have 100lbs of crabapples in my freezer from a friends tree, i plan on making it like any other fruit wine but am concerned how tart they are and how the taste of the wine will turn out. My wife wants to try cranberry/crabapple, but thats 2 tart fruits.
I have made crab apple wine. Be sure to check pH and TA. It was rather blah at 9 months. but by the time 12 months rolled around it was quite tasty. I currently have Dolgo crab apples fermenting in secondary (2 gallons)
