My cider was down to SG 1.002 after 4 days. I racked to the secondary, and now it's down to .996 in a total of 7 days since adding the yeast. I'll see how long it maintains that, or if it drops some more. It's definitely going to need an f-pak! :h
 
My cider is flavored and sweetened...sorta. It's stabilized and sitting in two 1 gallon jugs for long term storage.
But now I have a question. I think it's going to need more sweetening. Am I better off letting it age, and then sweeten if really necessary, or should I sweeten to taste now?
Alley? Anybody?
 
Haven't seen this thread before OP, just wanted to say I love the idea of using the grinder. You just gotta love ingenuity!!
