Chitosan bottle is full of black mold

I have opened and used once, maybe a teaspoon full. This was a couple of months ago. Now I notice the bottle which was tightly capped is full of black mold. Is this a normal reaction? I don't recall the label saying that refrigeration storage is necessary after opening the bottle, is it?

I don't have a good answer for you, but I hate to see a question go unanswered. Here is what I would do, "Chunk It", cheaper than getting your stomach pumped. You may try calling the manufacture and see what they say, it may be normal.

Can you post a picture?

Maybe there is a chance it is not black mold and something that someone else might be able to identify.

Either way, I would tend to agree with Ernest....
