Ok I went to my grocer last night. I was looking at the juicy Juices. My question is are all the same ingredients nessecary for canned juiceas a real fruit recipes. I am going with white grape can someone give me a recipe for 6 gallons of wineand any other info. Jack kellar's website is awesome its just a lot to follow and so many things to look at. The juice doesnt have any harmful ingredients in it.

I have a friend that makes juicy juice wines, and just uses strait juice, and adds just enough sugar to bring the starting SG to 1100.He uses the lower alc, tolerent yeasts so the stop easier. You will have to check the SG of the juice because it varies from flavor to flavor a little.

Kaluba,

To answer your question about the ingredients needed, that is debatable. Some people do not use campden tabs or K-meta in this type of juice before initial fermentation, but some use it anyway. My experience has been that these juices are usually low in acid, so I add acid blend to taste. Some folks add tannin, some do not. It depends what you want. But there is nothing special that has to be used for these juices.

Here is a generic recipe from Jack's site. Not sure if you can use it or not:

Here is the link to Jack's Requested Resipe page and if you scroll to the bottom you will find 5 Welch's recipes (including the one above): http://winemaking.jackkeller.net/request.asp.

Hope this helps. I know of a few more sites that have recipes using frozen concentrates too. Just let me know.Edited by: pkcook
