I'm getting ready to bottle my wine using a bottling bucket. my question is can I just fill out of the bucket spout or should I use a bottle filler connected to the spout of the bucket?
I've only used the bottle filler wand. Once on a roll I appreciate how quick and accurate it allows me to fill the bottle just to the right height. If you could be as quick and accurate with a spigot then go for it.
I have used the bucket method before but I attached a short length of tubing to the spigot that is attached to a bottle filling wand. The wand allows filling with less air exposure and for quick stopping by just lifting up on the wand. You can top off by almost removing the wand and tilting it against the inside of the bottle.
