I have had problems getting the spigot clean after use. After 3 weeks or so, it has become stuck and refuses to turn. So, I break off the handle.
I may have found a solution. After use, I rinse the spigot well. Then while closed, I put several drops of glycerine in it from the inside of the bucket. Work the spigot a few times to spread it around.
A quick rinse when I use it again and all is well.

Ive had the same spigots fro almost 7 years now with no problem. Yes, I need to replace both thise and my primaries. Have a few 10 gallon primaries coming in tomorrow!

Sounds like a workable solution Barryjo. I recently had to replace one because it had locked up.
