Yesterday was a beautiful day here. Some of my family and I went out and picked 200 lbs of apples. My wife and I are going to chop and press them today. I bet you can guess what I will be starting in 24hrs.

That last tree looks "delicious". I'm "red" with envy. Although it may have been a "gala" event picking the apples you look "out standing" be"cider".

I was wondering if you could turn Apples into Wine!

Those look awesome!

Are you thinking about making wine out of something besides grapes?

Bob, wonderful pics!

Bob, thanks for sharing the pictures. Are those your trees? Looks like a maighty good year. They say the apples around here are good but are not going to be as red due to lack of sun. I picked up 7 gallons of unpasturized cider last week I am currently fermenting.

U have a great "picking/eating" crew !

I remember when my kids were "young" and we picked Apples and Peaches..

Dan & Wade, Yes they are my trees. Red delicious & Golden delicious.

Vcasey, Yep I sure am.

My first batch of apple wine was made from golden Delicious apples from my tree. It was an oustanding wine. My second batch I used a combination of three different kinds of apples. Although it is good it does not compare to the first batch. This year I am going back to just the one variety ( Golden Delicious ) to see if it turns out like the first batch did. I'm going to use straight juice. I will have to add some sugar, but the SG of the juice is already at 1.040. Will have to add some acid too.
