Apple tree help please

Hey everyone, I've got this apple tree in my yard that was here when I moved in a couple years ago. The tree had not been cared for at all and so it is very overgrown. Also thre is another tree growing up next to and within the apple tree. I think I'm going to cut down that second tree, I just haven't got around to it yet. I didn't get much for apples last year and the leaves had wierd rust colored spots on them. The apples I did get were tiny. I did some heavy pruning this year hoping to allow for better fruit. I just went and looked at the tree again and the rust spots are beginning to develop again. I was wondering if anyone knew what this coloration is and if there's anything I can ir need to do about it.

Travisty without getting a closer picture I am not sure, but it looks to me like Cedar Apple Rust.

Get youreslf a general purpose tree fruit spray and follow directions.


You also have some chewing insects at work.
