I would like to try this grape and have a line on some vines. I may have to order 25 to get them and I only want about 5-6 of them. If anyone wants to try some let me know and we can probably arrange it.

Cool! Can you realistically grow that in Michigan?

Short answer is no ...LOL I plan on growing them with only about 4' spacing and will either lay them down in winter or make a shelter for them. With our usual heavy snow cover I think they should survive. Nevertheless, it will be a challenge. Supposedly has late bud break, but late ripening as well, which could be a problem.

I had a glass of Tannat (100%) at my sisters 2 years ago and loved it. I think it could also be a good blending wine with some of the lighter northern varieties.

So why not give it a try and see what happens?
