Awhile back someone asked if you could use the vinbrite filter with a vacuum pump. The answer is yes!
I do have to add it was no faster than the gravity method, maybe even a little slower. 3 gallons in about 15 minutes. I used a orange carboy cap and inserted a short piece (about 4") of racking cane into the center hole with a short piece (about 1") of 3/8 inch hose over the end. The white bottom of the Vinbrite will fit tightly over this. Then hook the vacuum to the other opening on the orange cap. Put the rest of the filter together and hook up the in line. Start the vacuum and close the overflow valve. Worked for me!
