I planted my muscadines in April, most of them are on the wire and most of the ones on the wire are 10 feet in either direction. Either 12 or 13 of them croaked and I replaced them and they aren't to the wire yet, close but not their yet. Now that you have a little history, one of the vines has blooms on it, is this normal? What do you think?

I have some vines with blooms and some have bloomed all summer. At some point in the summer you have to decide it's too late for the new grapes to mature before winter and start snipping them off. Not only do you not want energy wasted on grapes that won't make it, but you want the vines getting ready for winter after harvest.

Thanks Gary, I didn't know they bloomed all summer long. I'll cut em off tomorrow.
