    Pumelo Wine Recipe

Hi Everyone As there seems to be fresh Pumelo fruit in the market, I thought I'd try making wine out of it. Searches on the web only yield reviews of the wine which declare that it is a good wine. I have not found a recipe though and am hoping that someone on this site can help me as they...

Help wanted to fix passion fruit wine

Thanks for your valuable suggestions. By the time the new batch is ready, the 1st batch would have completed a year. So to adjust with the new batch, should need 6 months post that. Patience is the key I guess. Thanks for your valuable advise.

Help wanted to fix passion fruit wine

Hi Everyone Last year I made some passion fruit wine that turned out too sour and so I added some sugar to it to make it sweeter. Sadly, the sugar became too much and it turned out too sweet. It's been in storage for the past 8 months. I have some new passion fruit vines growing and...

Looking for a Tried and tested Gooseberry Wine Recipe

I too had used gooseberies that were greenish white. To get the golden color I added some lightly caramelized sugar. Net result was a whiskey colored wine.

Looking for a Tried and tested Gooseberry Wine Recipe

I made two batches of gooseberry wine using a very simple recipe. You can check it out on my post (there is a picture of the finished product also). Since we don't get winemaking ingredients such as pectic enzyme, tannins, etc., only yeast has been used. I suppose you can refine it using the...

Gooseberry wine - very basic one

Hi everyone Thought that I'd share a picture and recipe of a very basic gooseberry wine that I just made. As Indian palettes like it sweet rather than dry, some of you may find the sugar content too much. Anyways, here goes: Ingredients:1) Gooseberry - 1 kg 2) Sugar- 1kg 3) Raisins – ¼ kg 4)...

    Introduction

Thanks a ton stress for your valued comments and suggestions. For the Jackfruit wine - there were 2 suggestions given for getting the base - one was to boil the jackfruit and use the solution (srilankan Recipe) and the other was to grind the fruit after boiling (Indian). Grinding is where I...

    Introduction

An update from my end: Started a batch of Gooseberry wine thanks to my next door neighbor who has a tree. The yeast is working its magic and it smells really good. I am looking forward to the 3 weeks to end so that I can caramelize and bottle it, not forgetting of course to taste some of it...

    Introduction

Thanks to all you for your warm welcome. In India we are handicapped by lack of basic requirements such as wine yeast or any other supplements - we have to make do with baking yeast :D Jack fruit was just an experiment and it really was destined to fail but no worries on that score. 99.9% of...
