I have about 180 lbs of Syrah grapes in the primary and they are chugging away, but it has been fairly cool in the house (I'm too cheap to turn on the heat). I am wondering if it is too late to give the yeast a boost with some nutrient.

The must started at 1.115 and has now dropped to about 1.032. Most things I have heard suggest only adding during the first half of fermentation. Could adding late lead to off flavors?

You can add anytime. I add nutrient all up front unless its a difficult must. At 1.000 I add 1 teaspoon of Superferment to 6 gallons, stir well and seal up with a lid with an airlock.

I usually add the yeast nutrient in 2 applications, I use Fermaid K and Fermaid O, these yeast nutrients are two of the best you can buy.
