Wine Cooler

Who has built their own wine cooler? I am going to need something that will hold a couple of carboys, as well as 2-300 bottles of wine.

A lot of us have so much wine, that we build racks to line the walls & only keep a few in the fridge or have a smaller ~30 bottle wine cooler. We couldnt possibly afford to run the walk in refrigerators it would require to keep ALL of our wines cold

Sounds like you need an old standing freezer, modified with a Ranco temp controller for the carboys and a ~25-30 bottle wine cooler for the bottles.

I keep most of my wine on a wine shelf and I have one 28 bottle wine cooler.

actually a walk in cooler is more economical then a window unit, even better if its 220.
and they are cheap , if you shop around..
i bought a 8 x 12 x 8 for 3500.00 refrig uint and all...that should hold about 500 bottles with the proper racks.
