WineXpert Who added elderberries to a Pinot Noir?

Some time back I read a post about adding elderberries to a Pinot Noir, now I can't find it. Have a kit I want to start this week end. Have a 8 oz bag of dried elderberries. Normally I would just dump them into the bucket and let it rock and roll.

But, was wondering if perhaps there is a better way. Thanks.

I often add dried elderberries to my Cabs .I soak them for about 10 minutes in hot water (just enough to cover them) then add. It's also easier, for when you rack, if you put them in a strainer bag or something like
