Hello guys, as my first kit comes to nearing the end (only have to stabilize and let it clear), I need a new kit to start.

I am looking for a decent red not to expensive that wont take to long to age, maybe 6-10 months for at least decent taste ( I know a year would be better but meh.) I also would like a red that goes well with a pasta or roast beef dish.

Thanks guys.

WE Chianti? Haven't made this one yet, but might foot the bill.

Hi Scubaman,

I am a big fan of the World Vineyard kits. I bottled the California Trinity, which is wonderful, and the Zin/Shiraz. I will try the French Cab. Sauv. next. Reason being is they are early drinkers. I bottled the Barbaresco back in Dec. and it is just now coming around, so if you want something earlier to drink, try the World Vineyard kits. I bottled the Cal. Trinity in Feb and I only have five bottles left!!
