Just wondering what clearing agents you will be using for your crushed reds this year? I was thinking of using nothing or possibly benonite.

I never even knew clarifiers existed until a couple years ago. My Juice wines always cleared and degassed on their own very well with rackings.
And I don't know if this is dumb luck or not, but my grape wines seem to be even more clear and in much quicker time. In spring I did 1 grape and 1 juice. And now another grape and juice seems to be more of the same. All reds btw.

I'll use bentonite and then see how it goes. For reds, I don't care too much anyway, but I would not hesitate to add chitosan and kieselsol. I had a Pinot Gris that did not clear in well over a year of bulk aging. I then added chitosan and kieselsol and it cleared in 24 hours.
