Just joined the group and hope to get some help with my vineyard. I'm planting muscadine for now. Sent in a soil sample for testing and got the results. I need 1000 lbs of lime, 90 lbs of nitrogen, 90 lbs of phosphorous, and 90 lbs of potassium per acre. I have about 1 acre to prep. I want to stay organic. Is there a "magic" element that I can spread in one shot? (Didn't think so). The extension service suggests 3 applications over the summer months instead of all at once. Can someone tell me if I should use pellet or powdered lime and which organic elements would work best with my crop?

What does the Extension office recommend for nutrient sources? Check with your local fertilizer supplier and tell them you want organic sources. Do you have any organic chicken farms near you?
