Also, I know of a guy (no names) who 'created' a tax ID number in order to open an account. There was never any question, as far as I know and he still orders kits, at least his account is still active.

This is an excellent point. It costs nothing to create a Tax ID number. Since I am not a lawyer, I can't comment on if there are any ramifications to obtaining a EIN.

They would have to produce some really awesome kits to go to that much effort though.
 
These kits are good, but 'awesome' may be a stretch. I consider these kits to be comparable to 15 and 16 L kits without a grape pack. They need 12 months to come into their own, in my opinion. They are worth making but not worth a great hassle to get.
