Hi all, still a bit of a novice at wine making, I've used a kit from youngs (strawberry) but it's not clearing. My questions are
A) can I add another clearing agent or finings
B) it's sat on my work top at the moment, I have no where cool to put it, will it just take longer to clear leaving it there?
C) should I rack it off and then leave it for longer?
D) how long can I leave it in my demijohn before it turns?

Thanks
Le

Hard to say without further recipe details. Peptic enzyme will help, degassing will help, sparkolloid will help, warmer areas will help (70-78 degrees).

We need additional info on what you have done, added and specific gravitates.

Not familiar with young's kits. But sometimes wine doesn't clear properly due to dissolved CO2. Make sure that you have degassed the wine properly.

the above suggestions are good especially the degassing and temp advice. if still not clearing add about 1/4 tsp powdered tannin to wine. purchase Super Klear which will be a joined two packet fining agent. follow the instructions on the packet for adding the finings in separate times. make sure wine is in 70's. good luck
