Steamer Juicer and Oak

OK, lets see if I can get something going on this one. Has anyone tried or thought about putting oak in your steamer while you are making juice?

No, however, typically, it takes alcohol to leech the tannins and flavor out of oak, so I'm not sure what steaming will do to it.

Can't hurt to try, but I wouldn't expect good extraction of oak flavors.

Yeah, now that I think about it, it would probably just end up tasting like steamed wood instead of an oak flavor, thanks. Crackedcork
