Does anyone ever get all the SO2 out of their wine without a vacuum. I
had this pear wine now for about 3 months and I've stirred it with the
drill mount mix-stir about 5 times and it still gives a little action
at the airlock. I really dont want to spend much more money.

Not sure what the wine having SO2 left in has to do with action in the airlock.

Did you mean CO2 left in the wine? I have never used vacuum to degas my wine and only stir a total of a few mins when stabilizing.

Oops, yes CO2 and My wine is at .990 for 2 weeks and I've stirred it 3
times and it still gives airlock action. Airlock was level until I
racked it before stirring. Does this happen alot. I added 1 Camden
tablet that was crushed at the bottom then racked on to it then stirred
it. I'm afraid to keep stirring it as I dont want to oxygenate the wine
too much.
