I’ve been digging sod away from the vines and putting in sawdust for a while. Finally finished except for landscape fabric. Got the new trellis up and holes dug for the 6 itasca vines coming in May. I dug deep holes and am using black dirt for the new vines to live in. And of course I had to dress up today so I could spray lime sulfur on the vines.

. Are you using black locust posts? How long do they last?

Yes there are a lot of black locust trees here. According to my neighbor they last forever. I’ve had some in the ground for 7 years with no evidence of rot.
