I just got home from a couple weeks vacation, including a lot of time on the road. I always read a lot while travelling, and this trip was no exception. Here are a couple of books related to wine and history that I read, both of which I enjoyed, found quite informative, and would recommend(!)
WINE & WAR by Don & Petie Kladstrup -- how the French protected their wine and industry during the Nazi occupation.
A HISTORY OF THE WORLD IN 6 GLASSES -- not just about wine but also beer, spirits, coffee, tea and cola.
For a more informative review before deciding to read/pass, check Amazon (no point in me cutting/pasting a bunch of text).
