Primary bucket size

Would there be any problem using a 7.9 gal primary bucket for smaller
1-2 gallon batches? If this will work, I would rather purchase a larger
bucket that would be suitable for both 6 gallon and smaller batches.

BTW...this hobby is very addictive!

It will work.... BUT, for the smaller batches it would be better to go to your local ice cream shop and ask for some empty buckets. They are 3 gallon, and food grade.

I have gone to my local grocery store with a bakery and asked for empty frosting buckets. Same as goodfella, but my wife won't let me go to the ice cream store alone!
