A slight problem I have here in Portugal is that to buy chemicals, I need a licence, which I havent got. The previous owner has left a few chemicals behind which I am working my way through. This is going to run out soon, and without a Portuguese chemical licence I cant buy anymore legally.
Does anyone use organic sprays ?
My sister likes organic gardening and doesnt use pesticides. She suggests milk and water mixed 4:1 for mildew. Has anyone heard of this working with mildew on vines. ?
Further more I went on a Portuguese citrus fruit pruning coarse this morning, and was advised that aphids on fruit trees can be treated using detergent water and cooking oil, mixed 10litres of water to 100ml of detergent and 100ml of cooking oil. I am thinking if the vines got aphids they could be treated in the same way?
Does anyone have experience of using organic treatments for vines? How effective are they?
