No longer a newbie, but still clueless.
Oh no!
I've been to SF on business several times, and once for fun. My first trip, I was staying about a block and a half from what I recall was the original SF Brewing company - just on the edge of China Town. I went in one night for a couple beers, because I'd heard about them on the History Channel. This was in late November. I went back a few days later for a 'Christmas Beer Tasting', which was a (rather large) flight of Anchor Christmas beers over several years. It was a great experience in the back room of the brewery and to this day, I still buy Anchor Christmas brew every year.
