:try Just got home from the wine store and got some new toys(I'm not sure if this is the right thread).

I got some addictive's, corks, bottles, and a vino del vida world tour pinot grigio kit.

pH testing strips and the guy has Acid testing kits on order he said he would call me once they have come in.

But the best things are.

5 gallon carboy for my merlot to bulk age in and some oak chips( heavy toast american).

Here it is.

Best and coolest thing I have gotten since I started making wine.

I do have a question about it; can I take the iris out and clean the excess grease off?

I would try to just wipe it down with paper towels and then try to push a wad of paper towels through it like a cork. The answer to your question is Yes you could take it apart to clean.

yea just roll up a paper towel like a cork only longer and lever push it thru. It's probably food grade grease.

alright thanks glad its food grade grease that makes me feel better and the paper towel thing worked cheers :b
