RJ Spagnols Missed it by this much..........

I ordered a couple of whites to ferment this Winter from George back in late October when they were on sale. Both were OOS so they were backordered and finally shipped early last week.

I picked up the CC Showcase Gruner Veltliner and the RJS EP New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

NZ Sauv Blanc is easily my favorite white hands down and I was soooo looking forward to making this ultra premium kit with juice from the Waihopai Valley in Marlborough.

I couldn't believe me eyes when I pulled the box out from the peanuts and saw the words "Australian Sauvignon Blanc" ........

Called up George immediately and he apologized and offered to issue a refund if I wanted to ship it back.......

Australian Sauv Blanc is not NZ Sauv Blanc......

I am sooooooo bummed.

I emailed RJS and they said they can no longer source the juice from NZ.

Guess I will still make it.

Wonder if anyone else has any of the "good stuff" left on the shelves?

Sorry! I was reading about NZ Sav Blanc last week. Seems some of the best wine makers in Australia left and moved to New Z. because the Sav Blanc in NZ did so-o-o-o much better.

Bet you didn't need to hear that, did you...
