Quick question:

What kind of wine is best related to Les Miserables (the musical, not the novel)? I'm considering giving 375ml wines to the cast of the musical at the cast party. (Obviously a Sangria is right out; it probably should be a red.) I would prefer to make one of the inexpensive Winexpert or RJ Spagnols kits. (I'll base the label on the poster for the show.)

Any thoughts? I don't think they specifically mention any kinds of wine.

Cab Sauv? It is a French wine plus I think this wine has some nice surprises in it. It is a dry wine but it can have a sweet taste to it.

Depends on who's drinking it Jean Valjean, Marrius or Eponine & Grantaire The former would drink a finer vintage like the cab, the characters from the lower economic classes would drink a Beaujolais Nouveau. Of course Thénardier will drink anything he can find.

Have a great cast party.
