Just read @JohnT 's post and figured I'd do an update too. ;) All's fine, just been busy with virtual learning for my daughter, covid craziness, work craziness, etc.

Other than @mainshipfred and @ceeaton I haven't seen of y'all, but hopefully that'll change post-covid. In the meantime its been great to be on the forum and seeing familiar names posting!!

I have 2018 and 2019 batches in progress from fresh grapes and juice:
Cabernet sauvignon
Carignan
Alicante bouschet
Touriga Nacional
Malvasia blanca
Sangiovese
Gewurztraminer
Rapel Casa Rosa

I'm planning to blend some of this into a Portuguese-style wine with +/- 50% touriga nacional, 25% alicante, and 25% cabernet sauvignon. So, if anyone's done something similar I'd love to hear about it.

Also picking up an Albarino juice bucket tomorrow am from Washington Area Winemakers.

Here's Arden with our covid kitten Opie Marmalade Floofer Oranges Dalton the first:

Good to see things are going well Heather!

Not like I've been here that much either, this life thing has become much more interesting, especially with a couple of T1D's and covid worries.

Let's hope they solve this thing and we get back to a little bit more of a normal pace to life (without masks, my Eagles mask is starting to rip at the bottom, LOL).

We have yet to meet , but I am back to get my last bucket of juice tomorrow and some empties. After all that, I am actually getting the Malvasia I asked for to start with. Changed my plans so much I am disappointed now.
I got an Albarino last week, it is almost done and smells amazing! I am very interested in how your Portuguese blend turns out. I want to do Touriga Nacional, Alicante, Tempranillo/Valdepena. Opted to do that next year, I have enough going now.

We keep missing each other at the WW pickups, but one of these days, the timing will work out. Glad to see you're still at it.

I did a field blend of Touriga and Tempranillo from WW grapes last year. It is still barrel aging, but tasting very good right now. It was 5 lugs of Touriga and 1 Tempranillo. From 2018, I have Cab Sauv, Zinfandel, Syrah and Petit Sirah that I'll be doing some blending bench trials on in the next couple weeks.

PS: I didn't even know WW had a Facebook page.
