I found a 1 gallon recipe in the130 new wine making recipe book.
I dont drink beer except for a glass on st pattys day with a corned beef sandwich.
I dont know good beer from poor beer but i want to have some to give to the mechanics at the motorcycle shops from time to time.
this is in imperial measure
500g malt extract
225g sugar
30g hops
4.5 liters of water
yeast???????
boil ingredients in 2 liters in a pressure cooker for 30 minutes
strain and add 2 liters of cold water
set aside closely covered and and skim the cap every 24 hours
when fermentation has aparently ceased usually about a week
bottle in 1 litre bottles addind 1 teaspoon of sugar to each bottle.
cap tightly. and the beer should be ready to drink in a fortnight
I will greatly appreciate any advice or comments.
All wise ass comments will also be usefull in this project.
