How can you save an active yeast culture? I have been using the bottom of the last batch to start the next for 8 months now but am at a point where I don't want to start another batch. I love this culture and don't want to loss it. I know places have used the same cultures for hundred of years

I'm not positive but you can refrigerate it possibly freeze it if I'm not mistaken

Just start a batch of wine every week; then it'll never need to rest! Yeah Baby! That's what I'm sayin'!

I have been doing that up till now butfermenables are not always cheap, That and I need a break from daily wine work

I've read that you can freeze the slurry's to use in SP - i imagine it could apply to any slurry for any wine..

I have a peach slurry in the freezer right now, i'll know if it works for sure on my next payday
