How to identify plants...

New to the site, so this may be a rerun of an old topic.

Just bought a place that was a vineyard at one time.

It has a lot of grape vines (1100 at its peak) and I will be trying to identify the plants. Once spring hits we will begin to irrigate and identify the live from dead and the types.

Anyone in here good at visual IDing...if I can post pictures of the leaves and vines???

I know...read the manual...but this place seems like a great resource for information...

Just wondering if you are able to contact the previous owner. They should be able to tell you what varieties are planted.

That sounds like the best way to ID them if you can get hold of the previous owners. It is very hard to ID specific varieties of vines.
