yes I would say so, they should feel like paper.
 
One of the critical things to me before I harvest is checking the lupulin, I wait for it to change from the bright yellow to a golden color. This is a late year for me so my cascade and centennial are still on the vine, the cones are getting papery with some browning, but the lupulin hasn't quite changed color. I'm hoping this weekend I will be able to harvest though.

where di you get the cacade and centenial hop plants? I usually see maybe only 1 variety ever.

p.s. how many hops re: oz's or lb's do you get per plant?
