went to the local farm stand this morning, he was just back from pressing his apples into cider. so I got one gallon of fresh apple cider came home and heated it to 190deg for 5 minutes, let it cool...added half a packet of yeast (champagne) and put it in a 1 gal jug with airlock...see ya in about six months!:dg
 
Did you check your s.g.? Bet you will be a little low on sugar. Will still ferment, but bet you want to bring it up a little to get a little more alcohol. You can still check it and add some if you want or need to. Arne.
 
this is actually how my grandfather did it for years except the airlock, he used a balloon. this is the only way I can get my wife to drink it. If I crank up the ABV she won't touch it. she sais my 13-14% wine gets her drunk:slp
